After a carb fest week of night shifts I have put on 3lbs and am only in my third week. However this time I am looking at changing the way I behave and trying really hard to not beat myself up. So on a positive note out of 5 days two were really good and I declined chocolate and a second piece of cake on Sunday night. Today is the start of a new week, onwards and upwards. I find all the posts very interesting and supportive in my weight loss journey.😌

Hi Ked1963,
Working night shifts must really be tough and challenging at times. It's good that you've found some positives within your week, and well done for declining that chocolate and second piece of cake - that takes some determination, so well done!
Wishing you a great new week ahead.

It must be hard to diet and work nights. Well done for resisting the cake.
Good for you. With your can do attitude you will solve any problems including the night shift one. I have heard people say that treating the day as 24 hours helps when they're on any kind of shift pattern. I you were working an 8 hour day, you would probably have 3 meals plus a couple of snacks at tea breaks. Don't know if the idea of 3 big meals and 2 minis helps. The other thing I did a long time ago when a baby was wrecking my sleep, was to go for 5 X 200kcal meals plus 200kcal for my sk milk for endless cuppas. It did work for me. As wrecked sleep patterns does make you more hungry. Not suggesting you stick to 1,200 kcal, by the way, but I'm sure you see the principle.
Thank you. I like the idea of 5 small meals.😊
The longest weight lost journey starts with declined slices of cake... and chocolate!
Good luck and well done!
