Hike in the snow

So a good long hike in the snow around the woods north of Munich. Hubby and I tramped for 2 1/2 hours and did about 13 km. That's my exercise for the day! And now red-cheeked, tired, hungry and thirsty I shall settle down with a warm drink (no sugar), a few nuts and an orange to reward myself.

Lovely photo.

Hi JayseeSkinny - such a pretty photo. I didn't see much snow in London at all.

Would you be interested in joining the 'Around the World in 80 Days' challenge? Its really motivating and a lot of fun. Right now we are on an elephant through the jungle in Uttar Pradesh.

Here is the latest thread;

Was interested but didn't want to "muscle in" part way through - after all you're in India already, flying around on your broomsticks and learning how to ride elephants. Thought I might wait till the start of the next challenge.

But since you ask....... Need to check my diary whether I can take time off for a quick dash to India and then, of course, find a cheapish flight. Haven't been on a broomstick in years, afraid I might fall off over the Indian Ocean, so it's going to have to be the conventional way.

Next post on your thread!

Yay! Glad I asked you to join the challenge. We are having so much fun and new travellers are welcome at any part of the journey. All you need to do is record your kms every day and post on my threads. You'll see them normally in the evening during the week and in the morning at the weekends.

Happy Travels :) :)

hi, dont mean to burst any bubbles, but you dont need to do exotic overseas treks et al to lose weight...i walked 4 kms rather than take the tube from Tottenham to Highbury & Islington...still worked for me....:) someone suggested 4 laps round the local park, walking briskly, closer to home and much less expensive....:P

Do the same myself "in real life". 4 km walk or jog in the morning and a walk after work to a station that's about 3.5 km away (can extend it if I want) to get back home. On Fridays I walk all the way home (about 9 km) as a nice way of starting the weekend. Love walking and now enjoy running.

This post was just a bit of fun - never been to India!
