Hiya! I should think it could be about portion size. That was always my main problem. Have a look at the 12 week plan, it's brilliant. The only thing I've ever stuck too!

Also check on the calories you are having in snacks and things.

If you eat fewer calories you will lose weight...........promise!!! ;-)

Hi Meghnajoshi,

Have you tried the NHS 12 week plan? If you click on the icon in the top middle of the screen, entitled 'Weight Loss NHS' then you can access the 12 week downloadable pages, which provide an excellent structure and lots of useful tips and advice.

If you fancy the idea of a weekly weigh-in group, then maybe you'd like to consider joining us for our Monday weigh-in thread - here's a link to today's post, so you can read it if you fancy seeing if it might be something you'd enjoy being part of.

Exercise is definitely the be all and end all of dieting. For the first 6 months of my diet I did ardly any exercise other than gradually increase my walking and still lost over 4 stones. I then excercised quite heavily but during the last 4 months have done very little due to a back injury. I really haven't noticed any difference to the rate of my weight loss and in total have lost over 8 stones.

Diet and portion control is the main thing to concentrate on. Cutting out the bad stuff, having the healthy stuff. As soon as I go off plan I gain weight. Christmas has been lovely but a bit of a disaster from a weight point of view. I've gained 10 lbs but back on track now and I'm confident I can lose it quickly just by being strict with my diet.
