This week I have lost 1 pound which is good considering we had the office Christmas buffet and some wine this week. I had increased my exercise this week and watched every calorie to ensure a loss as I knew what I was going to be up against, therefore pleased to be showing a loss and this loss takes me one step closer to reaching my end goal by week 52.
Start weight 240 lbs
Today's weight 152 lbs
Goal by week 52 - 92 lbs
Lbs remaining 4 lbs
Now I know how hard it is to lose weight I've been doing this for almost a year now so to enter the holiday period which offers up so many treats and good home cooking and half price joints it is going to be tough, but I am not going to let anything stop me from going for gold and reaching my goal in one year. I am still going to give this all I have whilst finding the time to relax and enjoy the holidays and take some much needed rest breaks in between. I am off now until the new year so I have plenty of time on my hands.
It goes without saying that I am truly proud of what I have achieved to date 88 lbs gone for good. I have learned so much about myself and realised my potential. I have found happiness in these 50 weeks and this journey has changed my life forever For all those who have gotten to know me along the way I would like to say a big thank you for all your kind words of encouragement and support. You have all been such great motivators through out and I am thankful for everything.
Newbies one message I would like to leave you with in 2015 is this - Believe in yourself and your abilities and take control and have an "I can" and "I will" attitude and you will succeed. You can be anything you want to be, but you must first want it bad enough. You have the power to make a change in your life and no one but you will hold you back so take back control and fight for it because your worth it
Anything is possible

Wow, what a great result - Congratulations for losing 1 pound this week, despite having your office Christmas buffet and some wine. You've clearly worked hard, and I am blown away by your achievement of 88 pounds in total. I love your statement "88 pounds gone for good" - that is so great.
Only 4 pounds left to go to achieve your ultimate goal, and I have every faith in your ability to do that. You are focused and determined, but at the same time, I am glad to hear you're aiming to achieve a good balance over this festive period, and that you're intending to have some rest and recuperation within the more active aspects of this time of year. A good balance is such a great thing.
You have been a constant and supportive person within this forum, and you've really inspired me to keep going on my own weight loss journey, so I would like to thank you so much for that. I hope that once you achieve your total weight loss goal that you'll still be around on the forum to focus on maintaining, as I think you will be such an inspiring influence now and in the future. Your message to the newbies in this forum is fantastic, and I hope everyone takes a look at your before and after photos (that you've posted previously) to see how amazing you look.
Hope you have a wonderful week Trafford. I won't tell you about my week yet, as I will talk about it at the Monday Group weigh-in thread. I know there is still some time before then, so I hope to do my best to get closer to my own goal. I am sure we will catch up on Monday, so I look forward to 'speaking' to you again then!
Aww thank you so much Lowcal and I understand the last paragraph
I have worked really, really hard this week and forgot to mention I ran another 10 k this week it's getting easier and this is my 4 th now.
I will be around to continue my journey here with everyone and to offer support to the newbies in the new year as so many people start the year off looking to lose weight. My message and I wish I could just shout it from the roof tops is to start to believe in yourself as anything is possible. We have come so far on our own journeys and this message is the driving force of it all and has changed my life.
I am really passionate about everything to do with the mind, body and soul and once we get in touch with ourselves and take that leap of faith there's no stopping each and everyone us achieving and succeeding
You have been one of my biggest supporters Lowcal and I am so glad to have shared this with you and the support we share.
By Gods good grace I am here today a new, happy and healthy young women and in early 2016 I will have achieved what I set out to do and that is to take control back and it such a wonderful and great place to be.
I'm really excited for Monday so keep doing what you are doing cause your doing great
Oh I took a look at Jillian Micheals 30 days shred last night and it looks totally doable and really good so looking forward to trying this out whilst I'm off
Oh, that's great Trafford1, I'm sure you'll really enjoy doing it. She is also a very motivating person!
Yay Trafford you star, another lb lost in a week which had its challenges. You're still going so strong even now getting down to the last few lbs. Are you still seeing the change in how your clothes fit, inches lost etc too?
Hi Ruth, thank you yes still going strong as always and had a good time enjoying some foods which I wouldn't normally eat and drank some wine I wouldn't normally have so yes it's been challenging, but still all good with the loss Changes are still happening in my clothes and I am wearing some size 10/12 clothes, but my arms are not going down as quick as I would like them to and still have some to lose off thighs and butt LOL, but I will eventually get there even if it's not by the 52 weeks it will defo be by my wedding day in Feb.
Exciting times ahead and some lovely celebrations to enjoy to finish off the year. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas with best wishes x
I found the weight came off quite differently to how it went on too. Glad you're still seeing the difference size-wise overall. My upper arms didn't slim down as much as I hoped too but I can fit into 10-12 tops so not complaining! Hope you and your family have a great Xmas and hope you enjoy yourself while also staying in control
Just popped into the shops and picked up a size 10 jumper and another in a 12 which looked small and have tried them both on just now and they both fit me and look very nice. It really does feel great and seeing the difference in size and clothes is just the perfect gift to myself this yr. So yeah 10/12 at the moment, but want to be just a 10 when all is said and done. Enjoy every moment of the remainder of this year hun and thank you for all of the help advice and support throughout best wishes x
Ooh - enjoy your new jumper I've been putting my too-big clothes on ebay, a lot say they are 'size 12' but they're as big as a size 16 with 34 inch waists and 44 inch hips, no wonder they're too big for me now. I think you have to take shop sizes with a pinch of salt, but at least now I'm not looking for 'generous' sizing anymore - I was convinced I was still a size 12 for so long when I blatantly wasn't! And these weird sizings were helping me believe that...
It is a fantastic result. 88 pounds gone.that I serious hard work and you deserve the benefits xxx
Thank you Aqua and yes it has been seriously hard work to get here, but worth it I haven't had one sickness in this whole year either and I think this is a contributing factor
Hi Trafford,
Another fantastic 1Ib off and there's no doubt that you will reach your goal.
I agree with your honesty, losing weight is hard work but you are so right in our thinking does have to be ' I can' and 'I will', we also have to very honest and accountable to ourselves.π
At the start of my stroke rehab I was told nothing's 'impossible' but that 'I'm possible' and those words have stayed with me and got me through some tough times.
I truly believe in the changes we are all making and the support and inspiration from you all continues to amaze and sustainπ
Thank you flossie it's good to be honest as it is a tough journey to health and happiness, but for every day we stick to it we become stronger and it doesn't just build your strength it literally strengthens the mind and this is were you just become your own motivator with the 'I can, I will' attitude it really takes you to places you only dreamed about then it becomes your reality.
I remember those words ' I'm possible' and I know you take great strength from them every day which is lovely honey
I truly am a believer to floss and thanks you for all of your support throughout. Through the good and the bad we have been hear for each other and that's what I love about this site.
I have never "met" anyone more positive, motivated and determined to reach their goals and it's inspirational beyond measure.
Your achievements to date are absolutely awe inspiring and those last 4lbs are goners.
It is my absolute dream to do as you have done and feel the way that you do. I'm getting there, slowly but surely
You're carrying the Olympic torch and lighting the way for all of us and I thank you sincerely and whole heartedly. Keep pressing on for yourself and keep pushing us on to reach seemingly impossible heights.
You will be an invaluable member of our already amazing team of maintainers and I'm so thankful that you're going to stick around with us.
Hi moreless together we can and we will all reach our goals and I'm hear to help out with that and hopefully my words will help you and others reach their goals. I'm motivated, positive and yes very determined each and everyday and there's not a single day that goes by where I can keep still, it seems impossible right now as I have a new lease on life.
I don't think I've ever mentioned this before, but I have to put it out there. I can cross my legs LOL I love crossing my legs now as I couldn't before so this is really cool.
I love it here with everyone and it's really helped me on my journey having people like you be there with me every step of the way and I agree we are an amazing team.
Onwards and downwards moreless best of luck for Monday, you already passed your goal I see so the rest is just gravy my dear
I'm so looking forward to your post on Monday as well as Lowcals... oh the suspense is killing me (teehee) I believe in you!
Oh the joy of crossing legs !! I fear my arthritis might not allow me to cross mine any more, but I remember its a wonderful feeling when you realise you can-
Yeah I have been crossing them for a bit now just forget to mention it in my posts, because it's so natural now, but before I lost all this weight I couldn't cross em at all. So love it
Thanks LotToLose, I feel for people this time of year including myself. I'm not the sort to turn down good food I'm the sort that will work hard to burn off what I ate or drank and I think that's a good way to be. I never want to go back to how things used to be so yes I do plan to keep this weight off forever, but never forget where I come from
I knowing is hard work and respect what you have done because I have done not even a third of what you have achieved. Now that you mention it I have not had a cold this Autumn either.
Thank you sueper, I'm going to need all the luck I can get to achieve a 4 lb loss over Christmas, however I am not going to worry too much about it right now as it is a time for celebration which does include food and drink, but I will do my best
I have a lump in my throat as I read this fabulous post, so so proud of you and all you have achieved trafford. The laurels are all yours and well deserved hunny. π
Thank you so much ShellieL. It's been a tough year, but I feel I have got there in the end just the last few pounds to go to reach my goal. Not sure if I will make it in 52 weeks as it is now Christmas and there's food everywhere I look and I do really like food so it's all about making sensible choices over the Christmas period and see if it all pays off
I won't say it doesn't matter if it takes a few extra weeks, because that seems to be too flippant. What I will say is that you have travelled down the longest road imaginable and the glorious badge of honour is waiting for you at the end fork in that road. After such a journey your pace is bound to have slowed a little, but reach that badge you will. Then it's a matter of looking at which fork in the road you want to continue on, the one signposted 'success heaven' or the one signposted 'regain hell'. I already know which one you will be sprinting down, lol. π
