Yes, don't give in. Rather than beating yourself up about it being the hardest time you should be proud that you made it to the gym and did 35 minutes of exercise. Celebrate that and be proud that you didn't give in.
Next time remind yourself that you don't need the toast and that even 35 minutes of exercise is good for you and will make you feel better.

Perhaps try having an egg with your piece of toast, the protein should help you feel more satisfied and not craving more toast.

What is it with toast why is it so yummy? totally understand that comfort food we were always given toast as kids to fill us up.
