I really need something to get me moving; I have lost about a stone by being careful and swimming (have been having a lesson once a week at local centre as wanted to learn to do front crawl, which I have!). How do I join this group;? Is it a group? I have a big holiday in January and one of the ladies going is phenomenally thin and fit! I'd like to lose another stone but tbh; even being on the way would help? Worried about Christmas!! Thanks

Hello........all those requests, you just join in here! So well done on your current weight loss, I think you now need a plan, lots her use the NHS plan, it's a 12 week plan.

Depending on how many dietary adjustments you have made, will depend on how much progress you will make.

For example portion sizes, that sort of stuff, forget your hol for now, and the very slim and fit lady, you matter!

Well it's a while till Christmas and and have a while to make big changes, enjoy!

Hi, it's a forum, just post reply, read, enjoy. Great search function if you want very quick answers and find previous posts. Congrats on nailing front crawl I hope you continue to enjoy the swimming class! 🏊

With a proper plan a stone by the year end might be doable: depends as Diana said on what you do, would need planning, and also on your current weight.

I am worried about Christmas as well

Welcome to the forum, and I hope you'll enjoy being part of it - it's a really friendly and supportive place. Diana's already mentioned the NHS 12 week plan, and I agree that it's a great structure and full of great advice - and many of us are using that. You can access it by clicking on the icon at the top middle of the screen, entitled 'Weight Loss NHS' and then follow the links to find the downloadable 12 week plan. Definitely worth a look, and I'd recommend you also use an app to help you keep track of your calories and exercise - something like Myfitnesspal, which is free and easy to use.

You asked about joining the 'group' and I noticed you'd followed one of our previous Monday group posts, so I'm wondering if you would like to join our Monday weigh-in group. Here's a link to the latest group thread - the posts are always dated with the current weigh-in date:

Basically if you read the post I've written at the start of that thread, it explains how the group works. I post the thread every Monday, just before 7am, so you can either find it that way, or alternatively just 'follow' me, and you would be automatically notified when I post it.

It's an option, and there are also other weigh-in threads regularly by individuals - so you might want to be part of a larger group, or do your own thread - all options are great, and do whatever works best for you.
