New and in need
Hi fifi, the general consensus is that exercise is not too important to lose weight so no reason you can't get started now. No doubt any loss will take pressure off your knee and back.
My advice is to cut out as much junk food as you can, cut out sugary fizzy drinks and keep an eye on your portion sizes. All this should see the lbs melt off. Aim for 1 -2 lb a week. It sounds slow but that could be a stone or so in 12 weeks which will make a big difference I am sure and encourage you to keep going.
Good luck
I've found the NHS 12 week plan is excellent, I'm on week 24!
I can't do a great deal of physical exercise at the moment because of end stage kidney disease but I can walk, so I walk to work and back every day, I don't know how much walking you are able to do?
My other advice is don't ban any foods just try and include them in your calorie allowance and make sure you weigh your portions until you get used to the correct portion size.
This website has been a god send to me. It has provided inspiration and occasionally needed consolation and advice.
Good luck.
