Hi Emma,

Well done for losing 3 stones so far. That is really great progress!

The NHS has a link about Binge Eating, so I'm just pasting that link here, in case there is anything there that you find helpful:

nhs.uk/Conditions/Binge-eat...

I don't know how you've lost the first 3 stones, but I would recommend taking a look at the NHS 12 week structured weight loss plan as well, incase it can add anything to your existing strategies. You can access it via the icon in the middle of the screen above (entitled 'Weight Loss NHS').

There's a Monday weigh-in group thread too, which has been running for almost 3 years, and which I post just before 7am on Mondays. You'd be very welcome to join us, if it's something you'd like to do.

Wishing you success with your continued weight-loss journey.

Hope to see you around and about in the forum, and good luck!

Lowcal :-)

My only help would be to drink lots of clear non alcoholic liquid, drinking a twinings butter mint tea, something tasty that may distract you?!

I frequently get bloating so this helps, lots of liquid, good luck

How do I not know about this tea? It sounds incredible.

Packaged in yellow peppermint tea with vanilla flavouring, tastes like the old butter mints, £2 or so for 20 bags

,

I personally find it soothing!

Try to have something healthy in the cupboard or fridge, ready all the time, like carrots peeled, washed and cut in sticks, celery, apples. Clear your cabinets of sugary snacks , and junk food and keep bread frozen so that is not available so immediately.

Also try putting motivational sticky notes on your fridge and cupboards, you are not doing this just to look fab, because you are already fabulous! you are doing it to feel better and be healthier.

Drink a glass of warm water every time you feel like binging, and if you really want that biscuit try this: take 1, go and sit in your favourite spot, and look at the biscuit or whatever you are going to eat , do you really need it? And if you do, eat it as slowly as possible, one tiny bit eat a time. This sometimes works for me, but it does take a lot of willpower especially at first!

😊 x
