Well done, you took the first step buying the right foods.

Good luck with your weight loss journey.

My top tip is keep yourself busy to avoid thinking about food or reaching for naughty foods.

You can do this :)

Hi Diligent, Mandy's got a good point about keeping busy....have you looked at the couch to 5K....I'll be starting when I've shed a further half stone....good luck this week.😉

Hi Portlandprincess,

Thankyou for all your replies yes I am going to keep myself busy as I've lots of things to do so hopefully it will help me loose weight more.

N keep me motivated.

As well as putting healthy food into your kitchen, look at taking unhealthy food out. I find if the temptations aren't there I don't eat them. Hide the crisps, biscuits, choc etc. And good luck :)

That's really great that you're already seeing health benefits. I'm also trying to avoid sugar, as we have a lot of diabetes in my family, and I was worried that becoming overweight put me at risk. I find that just removing this stuff really helps. My boyfriend eats all the sweet stuff he wants to, so it's also 'around' in my flat, but I make him keep it out of sight in a different drawer. Maybe you could persuade your husband to keep his sweets and crisps in a separate cupboard or something...
