Having started running again I had to re-introduce the S&F. It was done yesterday in full ninja kit in the dark of the woods at the park. I kept dashing out from behind the horse chestnuts and laurels when I needed different equipment then stealthily disappearing back into the trees. The divine Laura instructed me through the different poses and techniques and it was over all too soon.
Ensuring no one saw me sneak back into my villa I sat down for some grape juice and a small repast.
Within a few minutes Magnolia from next door was round asking if I could do her a favour (Do It ForMe). I hope she wasn't watching for my return. It seems her slave has run away and her husband has pulled his back, could I just pop round and do a bit of painting for her.
Being the upstanding citizen I am said I'd try and make it that afternoon, what I actually meant was that I'd speak to the goddess Laura and see what my obligations as Caesar are. Unfortunately she gave me the answer I expected - yes, I had to do it.
Donning my third best tunic I duly reported to Magnolia's to get started. Well, what does she want painting? The latrines! And not only are the walls wood chip, making it harder to paint, but 'magnolia' was the chosen colour! I almost suggested a look at some colour charts but decided it'd be faster just to get it over and done with.
Before starting I commented that Marcus was probably bored being stuck in with his back trouble so I'd pop up and see him. Well, her reply was not what I expected. It seems he'd gone out for a round of this new game golf to try and and loosen it up! He keeps telling me it's an up and coming sport and and I should try it. I may just take one of those sticks to him.
I digress, anyway, I got on with the painting. What with the ninja outfit and ceiling painting I may make Michelangelo my middle name. Magnolia was very pleased with the finished effect so I did a runner before she decided to ask me to do the rest of the villa.
This morning saw my S&F and decorating muscles suffering but I ninja-ed up and got out for W1/R2. I wouldn't exactly say it was easy but it was achieved so I am feeling rather proud of myself - especially as I didn't go home via the Dodger and Vimto shop.
