Hi,I am going on holiday for my 50th on Sunday am. I am still fat at 50, have been fat at 40 20 and even 10.Also have the added weight from cushings disease and the added effects of that.Well I feel a right frump and have not even lost a pound even though my holiday was meant to be inspiration.Are there any people here from North Yorks for support, I have just printed off the 12 week plan and want to give it a go x Thanks for reading x

I'm new here too and having reached all my other decades as fat and frumpy, am determined not to hit my 60th the same way.
I don't live near you, unfortunately, but would be more than happy to support you here. We can keep each other going. Everybody here is supportive, they've been absolutely wonderful to me.

Hey lady inwaiting, we're from all over the place and here for you when you need a supportive word.....my advice as always is post and reply to posts, it keeps you in the right frame of mind...also have a look at couch to 5k...enjoy!
I'd echo what everyone else says...I'm not from your neck of the woods but the support on here is fantastic, keep posting and keep reading posts, everyone is so nice and inspirational and we are all in the same boat, just at different stages of our battles! We can do it...I have to lose 8-10 stone and just joined last week..onwards and upwards!
I have just signed up today and also celebrated my 50th in July which I vowed last year to be slim for! Guess what no I wasn't, so here I am now fifty and determined to drop 3 stone, I have started the 12 week plan today and I am starting the couch to 5k tomorrow, so yes I will support you all I can as I know how difficult it is, hoping that by joining this site I will have somewhere to turn to when I am feeling tempted. Surprised already by how many calories are in such small portions! It's an eye opener weighing everything, it's all starting to make a little sense....portion control!

Just go it, yes it will be hard and life will throw you off but you can do this. Take it as slow and steady as you want.
Have your holiday and when back make small changes. The 12 week plan is a great way to start.
Have a fab holiday and catch up when back.

I too am about to be 50 and because of this I have made a start on trying to change. Just think getting with the 12 week plan and getting in some exercise will mean you are not 51 and fat.
Set yourself small targets to give yourself something to aim for. This helps me to feel like I am achieving more things quicker.
Don't worry about what has already been, but concentrate on the future and what will this can bring.

My goodness I could have wrote this I hit 50 in March went on a beautiful holiday and felt fat and frumpy and each milestone before that 40, 30 and 20 I've moaned about my weight I've started this week too let's try to help each other good luck x
