Want to get fitter and be healthier. Need to lose more weight. Started a couple of weeks ago and have lost 5lbs. Exercise is being ramped up but it's hard going.

5 lbs is awesome - trying picking that up - pick up 5 pounds of sugar and carry it round - its HEAVY!
If you can afford one try getting a Fitbit or Jawbone. I ind it really motivating e.g. I get to 7 p.m. and it tells me I still have 1500 steps to get to 10,00 for the day so I might whip out the door for a quick 20 minute walk.
Would I have done that walk without the Fit bit there to let me know I was short for the day.
Not a chance.
Try ANY tool you need to to get this done - its important. You can do this - I know it.

One vote here for the fitness tracker - I'm on my second Jawbone - keeps me accountable to myself. An inactive day feels pants now but it was every day before I got the first one. Exercise gets easier the more you do - make sure you mix up your exercise as you start. I started running a while ago - immediately stiffened up and cold hardly walk - so I did my run (2K!) then went to the gym later on for a gentle session on the cross trainer I thought it would kill me but it completely overcome the stiffness and soreness.
Please go to the supermarket and pick up 5 packs of lard and photograph it - and then try not to smile to yourself!
