Well, I've put one lb on this week and it serves me right! I haven't been counting calories or anything and just having what I want. Have lost my "get up and go" and just can't get back to it. Can't really be bothered but I know that's stupid. What can I do?

Slipping.
Hi eeek, remember your get up and go never left you it's still there and you CAN get right back to it you just need to believe you can. Don't give up on yourself and remember all you have achieved so far on your journey. I read a post of yours " slow and steady " where you have wrote " if I can do it anyone can " remember that when you say you can't because really you CAN
Good luck x
There's an article called '8 Things To Do When You've Lost Your Motivation' from myfitnesspal.

I hope this helps.
Hi eeek, me too. 1lb on. Went out for the day with a slim friend to the seaside. Fish and chips, ice cream, the whole bit. But we walked the beach and the shops etc and i enjoyed the day. Yes a pound on today but it,s coming off over the next couple of days. Keep positive, tomorrows another day.
Hi Eeek1110,
Please try not to let that 1 pound gain put you off your mojo - you'll definitely get that motivation back - some days we have those 'can't be bothered' days - but thankfully they do pass. I really hope you're feeling better over the weekend, and that you do something enjoyable.
I don't know how you feel about walking, but sometimes going for a nice walk can really lift your spirits - and it's great exercise at the same time.
Wishing you a good week ahead.
Lowcal
Come on eeek! You CAN do this!
One pound on is not too much. You CANpull this back.
As one of my replies said: slowly , slowly, catchy monkey 😊😊
Good luck for the coming week x
Thank you all for your helpful replies. I am going to log my calories in again as it will make me stop and think. The other thing I'm doing is writing little post-it notes to myself and sticking them everywhere. One says " At least try!"
It's good that the wake up call was only 1lb. I know what you mean about calories. It is a pain. Just do it for a few weeks to get a sense of what you can and can't eat and then you can go back to doing it more intuitively. Sometimes it's suprising how small a portion is appropriate.
I agree with lowcal - exercise is key to keeping me motivated. It is something positive you can do and it only takes half an hour of self-control instead of the ongoing effort of not snacking. It makes you feel so much happier, in control and eager.
I love swimming, No Strings badminton (which is national in the UK) and C25K from NHS. I also do a few toning exercises when I'm tempted to snack! I tell myself I'll decide whether or not to have the food after I've done my 50 reps. Usually I feel smug enough after the 50 reps to have the willpower to resist the snack!
Sorry for the late reply eeek, I've been rather absent from the group! I have been exactly the same, for the last 2/3 weeks, not been using my fitness pal etc and feel myself slipping back into old habits. Let's do this together!! Get back in the swing of healthy eating! We know we enjoy it once we get started! Best wishes 🌸
