I did my run this morning.
I've been famished all day.
Filled up on all the right stuff, haven't gone over my calories but my belly won't stop rumbling. Grr!
Any tips? Will power I suppose...and only exercising in the evening.

Hi Fiona, I have a similar problem and spend many evenings feeling hungry and just try to ignore it. If it gets too bad I have some fruit or sugar free jelly. It does seem to be getting easier.
I am eating enough so it is quite frustrating as it just keeps reminding me I am trying to lose weight!
I am sure some users can suggest various diets to help you feel fuller for longer but I am just learning to live with it and hoping in time it will pass. I am trying to make changes for life and that means cutting down long term and eating food that I know I can enjoy for the rest of my life.
Have you tried drinking a large glass of water before and after your work out? I do this when I walk and it does seem to keep me going until the next meal time.
Good luck!
I'll try the large glass of water trick, thank you. I like a can of diet drink, too, but that's no good for anyone is it?
Water is good for everyone.
If you like fizzy water that may fill you up even more - I read that somewhere!
I do like fizzy water.... I wonder if you can still buy soda streams?
It is less than 20p for 2 litres in most supermarkets, I add sugar free squash to mine - way cheaper in the summer!
Thank you for the post. I haven't explained myself too well. I've exercised all my life, and competed too. It's only when I became poorly that I had to have a break from sport and the pounds piled on. I don't want the exercise to help me lose weight, I just want to get myself back on form. I love sport. I've just never been on a diet before and I'm not used to feeling hungry. That's such a privileged thing to say I'm almost ashamed.
I find drinking a lot of water helps make me feel full. I drink first whenever i feel like snacking. Also i use distraction techniques to stop me snacking, cant eat if your hands are busy and less likely to think about it too. Sounds like you are doing a great job, will take a while to get used to the new eating habits.
Yes, I agree thank you.
Perhaps try snacking on things like carrot, celery, beetroot, radishes - they're quite filling, nutritious, tasty and very low cal. It will definitely get easier. Are you feeling hungry when you sit down to relax in the evening? If so, one way is to stay busier for longer and keep distracted. Good luck.
