Be positive. You have made that first step again. Perhaps you should try having short term goals e.g think 1week at a time. But I'm sure that other people on the site will be able to give you some good advice.
We all have days when everything seems to much for us, but then we have to remember the brilliant days.
Do you have a specific goal? I have been trying for ages to get the incentive to lose something and like you, keep stopping and starting. I even managed to lose a few pounds once, until 'day 1' came back again and I gave up! But since deciding I'd like to start a family in the next few years, I am more determined than ever to lose it. I think having a motivation helps?
I need to lose close to 50 kg. It's terrifying. I tried to exercise for half and hour today but only after 7 minutes I couldn't catch my breath and had to stop. I'm not old and things shouldn't be this way. I just want to feel good and be happy again..
Hi atunia102. I have a lot to lose and my main motivation is to get fit - well just be normal really. The more exercise you do the easier it will get - honest. When I started I could barely walk 1 km and then I was exhausted and sweating buckets even though it was February. Last week I managed 6.3 km without stopping, and nowhere near as exhausted as I was after that first km a few months ago! Never thought I would get back to that level again - trust me it can be done
I have now moved to hill walking as I don't feel at my current weight it is sensible to try running. The hills are killing me but I will keep at it - I have a local hill which yesterday I could only do half of, today I did it stopping 3 times. I will do it again tomorrow or Thursday and hope to only stop twice
Wishing all the best on your journey
Lots of advice on the site about setting small goals, and if you have a bad day just carry on the next day as if it didn't happen.
Good luck
