Ok here goes.....in the past 7 years i must of tried every diet you can think ok. All of which have either been nothing more than a quick fix, or i've hit a plateau and give up! I'm gettin married in August and have now hit panic stations!!!! I've been working with a personal trainer and so i'm losing inches but weighing in at 13st 6lbs i'm still very overweight. I'm hoping logging my food and weight will keep me motivated! How is everyone else doing?

Don't panic ajajan1ne, it's been up and down for us all, I still have another 14-22ibs to lose. It's especially getting harder now I'm getting close to my goal sept last yr I was 15stone 4ibs now I'm 11 stone 8ibs. I even put 3ibs back on this week after weeks of plateau. I normally keep a food diary with calorie intake added up inside, I weigh all my food so I know exactly the calorie content, don't forget to add calories for drinks, sauces, oil, dressings and fat contents. Which you can find on the jars or online. Was feeling a it down as I gained this week but it's just made me more motivated to get to my goal, don't forget that these changes we make to our diet is for life not just until you get to your goal or it will just come back. I know....

But don't forget your treats... If enjoyed in moderation and now and then it will stop you relapsing into bad habits and re gaining the weight.

Good luck with your journey my friend and remember we are all here to support and help each other.

Take care x

Congrats on you wedding, how exciting:) Logging is key for me, otherwise the calories slip my mind but not the scale! I pretty much do what you're doing. Logging my food, cardio and weights. Seems to be a good balance. For motivation you could buy an outfit in the size you want to be by your honeymoon and hang it out. Try it on weekly until you pack it for your vacation:)

Good luck to you")

I'm logging my calorie intake daily with a downloaded calorie counter. I'm using Nutrachek just now, it's not free, but there are free ones on Google shop apps. It's a huge help and I,'ve lost 4 pounds in two weeks. I'm so pleased and I've got past the hardest period...the first week!...but as long as you stick to the amount of calories that they allow for weight loss, it's not too restricted. Good luck and best wishes for your future!

I know how it feels when the scales dont move, we try to find a reason!

It took me a year to reach my goal, total loss 30 lbs slowly but steadily. Quite a few weeks I saw no loss at all, but that's quite normal.

Just keep to your calories and it will happen eventually. Try body measurements or a very tight garment as your guage, not just the scales. It worked for me and it felt fantastic when my tight clothes started to fit again, even if the scales seemed a bit stuck! Good luck and whatever happens you will feel like a princess for your wedding .

Welcome, I hope you find what you need in this community. You'll find many motivational posts here! Start by dowloading an app on your phone to keep track of calories (Fat Secret, My Fitness Pal...), it's a great aid! Good luck!

Welcome and hope the last few days have been good on the calorie counting front. I think the key is for us all to keep going even when we feel it's a bit tough. I moved to this lan because I thought I wasn't losing and today has been ok. Onwards and upwards. Good luck x
