Whole wheat bread

Whole wheat bread is high in fiber. One of the essentials in breakfast in order to feel full for a longer time. Along with protein. What food can I pair up with whole wheat bread? Aside from yummy scrambled eggs with tomatoes. Help please? :)

Hi HelpfulSissy,

How about some nut butter and a banana (almond butter and a sliced banana on top is really nice), or maybe some peanut butter? Other ways of having eggs - like poached or fried?

Maybe some tuna fish or chicken, or mackerel?

Personally I have porridge oats with nuts and seeds and some blueberries most days for my breakfast, but I often choose wholemeal bread as an option for other meals, and those are the things I'd typically pair up with it.

Hope you enjoy your breakfast options.

Lowcal :-)

Ham, avocado or smoked salmon would be the best options, in my opinion, as they are protein foods, will help you feel full and won't alter your glycemic index. Good luck!
