Happy to report that at my weigh in this weekend I have shed my tenth stone since May last year. For anyone who has seen my previous posts you will know I have completely changed my lifestyle for the better. I'm in the gym 6 days a week and eating healthy meals and snacks cutting out bread, fizzy juice and alcohol. I still have those three occasionally but don't feast on them like I did when I was at my heaviest.
I was 27 and a half stone when I started this and I'm now at 17 and a half. While the standard body mass index chart says I should be down nearer 12 and a half stone my target has been to get to 15 stone for now and see how I feel. If I think I can shed more weight after that without looking to frail or ill I will certainly do so.
I've had no personal trainers and nor have I went to any fat classed to keep me in check. All I've needed is the determination to get this weight off of me and live a better life. I feel like a whole different person already and I really am shocked when I see old pictures of myself. Many people say they don't recall me being that big but obviously like me they were just used to seeing my size.
For everyone out there losing weight right now I wish you the best of luck. There is no greater feeling than stepping on those scales and seeing the pointy needle go down and down. As the old cliché goes, if I can do it, you certainly can!
Will keep you up to date and let you know when I've hit my goal of being 15 stone. Only 2 and a half away now!
