Sounds weird but I have only ever started on a Monday...anyway I'm starting today and feel excited that maybe I can do it.....can someone help me please.with a query? I have done sw and ww before but going to try calorie counting this time. I'm 5'6 and weigh 12 stone......should I stick to 1400 calories a day? X

All the information you need is on the link including a BMI calculator to give you calorie intake. Many people do try to stick to 1400 but if you have been eating a lot more it might be easier to start slightly higher. It also depends on how much exercise you do.
Good luck
My tips are use smaller plates, plan your meals, don't get too hungry and use small loaves of bread with smaller slices.
On the nhs website where you do you bmi check it used to then lead to an estimate of what you should cut down to. It was add around six months ago and was advertised by the admin guys on here. If you can do 1400 then go for it but the other route gives you a way to reduce your in take as you lose. Good luck!
