Good luck, I do believe mentally accepting that food ideas, addictions and habits devlop over a period of time, add to the journey, certainly with me, down to losing my last 4lbs, put on a few since changing jobs.
The acceptance of these facts helped greatly, as does calorie counting and eating 'cleaner'.
Good luck. I think mental attitude really is the key and you have to be single-minded about eating healthily and doing the exercise, so that you don't get deflected.
Hi, being ready to change is the most important step. I haven't been in the right frame of mind for several months and then decided this year I was ready to sort my weight out. I joined a local NHS 12 week weight loss course and 10 weeks in, I have last 16 pounds! You can do it once you've put your mind to it. Good luck.
I'd recommend using the free MyFitnessPal app and website to count calories, eating from smaller plates, and, most of all, the 5:2 Diet - I lost three stone (42 pounds/20 kilos) in six months and have kept it off since April last year. This little video explains it very well youtu.be/W9Aj6hRYg4A
The first step is this and I think writing it down does help. As does coming on here and reading how great people are doing and also realising we will have the odd bad day and that's ok. Download the couch to 5k app and try it. I did my first run last night and I felt good after it. You can do it.
