Hi - firstly, congratulations on an amazing weightloss. I would really recommend NHS Couch 5K - it's the first time I have really noticed change in body shape and started getting a waist. And as a bonus there's an incredibly friendly community too and lots of encouragement.

Very well done , losing inches around the tummy not easy it could be loose skin in which case you might weight until you have finished your Journey and then consult your Gp if don't know or how long you were a lot bigger than now but one tip is to buy a balance ball and do excersize with this keep up the good work

Ya i need help to loss belly fats

Hi brijindermanu,

Well done on that sensible rate of weight loss over a prolonger period. Now that does take some serious sticking to and persistence.

You must feel awfully good about being that much lighter - it must be much easier to move around in that 36 kg lighter body.

As for waist measurements, I'd suggest that you consider some focusing your exercise / activity efforts in that direction with some exercises aimed at the abdominal muscles. They'll help you to tone up the abs and hold your stomach area better.

Good luck with your continued weight loss efforts.

Well done on the weight loss, you must be feeling a big difference!

Before I suggest what I have done to get in shape, are you sure you haven't made much progress in losing fat over the stomach area? Did you take measurements before you started weight loss and compare to now? Sometimes I think it can be hard to see the changes because they are so gradual, but with that weight loss there must be a big difference in your body from 11 months ago :)

I find that doing exercise helps to slim my waist, partly just from having stronger core muscles and better posture with less slouching over! My usual exercise routine includes running 1-3 times a week, swimming a couple of times a week, going to the gym to use the elliptical trainer and weights 2-3 times a week. But do whatever you enjoy. As long as you get active it should help you "firm up".

Well, I have lost about 18 Inch from my stomach in these 11 months, now it is stuck up and from past one and half months no change.

Wow that is amazing change! You must have had to buy a whole new wardrobe :)

Sadly sometimes our body doesn't lose fat from where we want it to be gone the most. Unfortunately there is nothing much you can do to encourage fat loss from the stomach rather than other areas. Over the past 2 months I have lost 2 inches from my waist but nothing from my thighs or hips. Kind of odd, but I think I happens to everyone. (I've probably lost about 10-15 inches from both areas overall since I started losing weight). Didn't measure at the start because I didn't want to know!!

I don't know what weight you are and whether you plan to lose any more. But I am still at the very top end of the healthy weight range, so I plan to keep on with the healthy diet and exercise and trust that eventually I will lose a bit more fat from those stubborn areas. Plus I am working on accepting that no-one's body is "perfect" and I should be happy with having a much smaller healthier stronger body than this time last year :)

Wow thats a brilliant weight loss and waist reduction. You must be feeling so much better than before.

I have lost weight and arms and legs have changed amazingly with jog scotland, c25k, gym & aquafit but I still have a belly and have lost less than 1" from my waist. Strangely though I need a belt with all my trousers and skirts are too big! I suspect this is because my rear end is smaller.

I have upped abs exercises but so far no change but people tell me it will go with a bit more weight loss.

If you find a solution please let me know.
