12 stone and unhappy with my weight I am starting today on 1200 cals exercise every day hope to lose 2lb by next Monday

Hi Jenne, your the same height as me and I wanted to lose 2 stone when I started 7 weeks ago. I followed the NHS guidelines of 1400 calories per day and started the C5K at the same time. I also walk my dog for at least an hour a day, and do yoga once a week and bodyshaping exercise at least 4 times a week. I've lost a total of 12.5lbs. Last week I thought I'd plateaued I had lots of messages on this forum, all good advise and this week I lost 3lbs. If you like cooking from scratch I bought both the Hairy Bikers diet recipe books (each recipe is calorie counted)...the meals are delicious and not at all tasting like diet food. I don't feel like I'm on a diet just feel better for healthier eating. You can do it....keep focused and motivated and watch those pounds drop off...good luck!!
