Hi AH4567,

Firstly, congratulations on your weight loss, you've done really well. I don't really know why your dress size hasn't changed, but I know that I have continued to be the same size for ages, despite losing weight, but I just have more room in my clothes. Also, some clothes sizes seem to vary from shop to shop.

Don't be despondent about not reducing the dress size - the fact is you've lost 26 pounds. You're continuing to exercise, and I don't know if you still have weight you want to lose, but if you do - then the best of luck with it.

Lowcal :-)

Have you put on anything that you wore when you were 26 lbs heavier? I'd be v surprised if they weren't fitting different. Wow I bet you feel a lot fitter now, well done and no worries bet all of a sudden you'll find you're a smaller size than you realised.

How tall are you? I was wearing the same clothes at 14.8 till around 12.10 I missed size 14 and seemed to go directly to 12! I have to say the fit at 12.10 was way better. Then the difference came when I started to lose weight on my shoulders and that's when folks started noticing. Note I have been doing body pump at the gym for toning - you could always give that a try! Well done though great achivement!

Hi, I'm 5ft 6 which is not that tall, my size 16's do fit better I must say and I do aqua aerobics and running as my exercise, I'll look into a class at the gym to tone up. Thanks for the advice.

Dont get me started! 5ft 6is tall :) when I first calucated I thought I was 5ft 8ins so target weight was11st 10lbs for a bmi of 25 , being 5ft 6ins when I was measured means I now have to go to 11lb1 for my target - to be honest I am thinking I was never really 5ft 8 probably 5ft 7 but someone must have measured told me as some time as I am sure I would not make it up! When I got married 30 years ago nearly I was this weight and a size 14, now miraculously I am a 12? and can get away with a 10 if its stretchy! I am happy at the moment since I still want to be hourglass shape 36,30.38 again 36 is the lowest bust size I have ever been I cant ever imagine 34 but that would put me to a pear :(
