i have lost 1stone 3lbs, but i am now stuck on 12stone and get seem to get below that.HELP

i was eating round 1200/1300 cals a day and drinking loats of water, and walking 4/5miles every other day. Thank you :)

I find its harder after you have lost that 1st stone. Your body has got used to your new intake. I maybe wrong.

I hear if you keep going you will start losing it again.

Hi carolmary

I was stuck on 12st 1lb for over two weeks, even though I was doing all the right things. JOY! yesterday I was 11st 13lbs!!! So don't worry, just keep up the good work and this 'blip' will come to an end. Good luck!

It can be disheartening when after the initial burst of lbs dropping off it seems to stall! A lot of it is just your body adjusting to your new calorie intake and if you persevere, it will start to come off again. I started at 13st and the first stone practically fell off in about a month but the second stone has taken me almost 3mths to lose. I've upped my exercise by starting the C25K running programme and that seems to have given me a little boost.

Just keep going and don't lose the faith! It's a long term thing and on the plus side, if you lose slowly, then the lifestyle you are following is going to more sustainable than someone who loses it all in 6mths and goes back to the bad habits as soon as they're done!

Hi!good advice on carbs and sugars-it is the key to loosing weight and giving you a healthy way of eating.Check ou The South Beach Diet on the internet-lots of good advice,free recipes and a forum like this.I lost 5 stone on it 5 years ago and I've managed to keep it off.It is a healthy diet devised by a doctor.good luck and don't give up!
