Hi Prin,
Not really, though I do some yoga-type stretching exercises.
But I would think that the general effect of doing yoga would be beneficial and might tend to promote a more relaxed and less stressed setting for your body's weight loss efforts.
I'm not sure it would have any direct impact on your weight, but it might have some indirect ones such as easing stress and tension which in turn might have an impact upon things like your cortisol levels
And whilst it's unlikely to improve your stamina or muscle strength to any relevant degree, it does promote flexibility.
And the meditation side of it is probably helpful for your mental and emotional health.
Good luck with your weight loss journey.
Hi Prin,
You may have already read up about yoga by now but I find it helps to increase fitness and you feel better about yourself. It is more about mind and body and sprit. I practice it a little and find I am more alert and relaxed as it has helps reduce stress levels as it has helped me become more disiplined with what I eat.
I think this is a positve start to managing your weight-loss as it will help you to review your relationship with food and your lifestyle. It took me a while to really have yoga as part of my daily routin, but found introducing it slowly, around parts of the day that you can commit helped.
I hope this has useful to you, i would check with your GP if you are concerned regards diabetis, but it should be OK.
Godd luck with it, I
hope you enjoy it as much I do
Thanks never really bothered with Yoga as it does hot burn calories but I may give it a go!
