Most GPs or even specialists have minimal training in nutrition. Something ridiculous like a few hours in their whole training, so in general, unless your GP has a special interest in nutrition or endocrinology I wouldn’t take their word for it. Lots of women with PCOS have insulin resistance, hence issues with glucose and a tendency to develop type 2 diabetes.
Go get tested for diabetes, just to be sure. I think it’s just a blood test and they measure your glucose levels. If you have PCOS and depending on your BMI, you may be at risk to develop diabetes, so I’d say it’s worth to check it out
