“Ovarian drilling” to make you ovulate?

Hi, my daughter has PCOS and I read somewhere that a procedure called ovarian drilling can help to make you ovulate normally. Has anyone heard of that, been offered it or had it done?

My daughter hardly has any periods.

My daughter had hardly any periods eg less than yearly, for 8 years and trying a low GI diet seems to have started them monthly (or nearly monthly). Might be worth a try if you haven’t already done so.
