Hi all.. never tried one of these forums but at my wits end.. im 30 years old slim pcos suffer with excess hair dont struggle with weight but been trying to get pregnant for 9 years with husband. Wasnt entitled to nhs funding due to husband having children previous relationship so extra strain on finding funds for ivf. After years of saving and failed clomid, acupuncture, inofolic , turned to ivf as last resort. Had 18 eggs 9 fertilised 5 made it to blastocyst had one fet which failed yet again another negative another heartbreak. About to start 2nd fet with no hope whats so ever hard to keep going. I keep reading about diet.. not really a healthy eater struggle with fruit an veg dont no much about diet etc. Just looking for some advice i would like to try an reverse this naturally i will do anything to be a mother. Xx

I am so sorry to hear about your struggles and it must break your heart each day. I am just at the beginning of my fertility journey (13 months in) and it’s not easy.

I am following the PCOS diet and have spend ages researching the right things to eat and drink. It is worth following what you can as the vitamins and miners you get will certainly help.

I now don’t have caffeine, and do my best to eat within my calorie bracket advised by the NHS. Cutting things back like sugar and process foods is really important so eat as natural as you can. I have been making things from the Davina McCall sugar free book and compromising on things so if we want tacos or fajitas then I have lettuce rather than tortillas or shells. I hated my body for ages because it felt like it was letting me down, I am only just starting to “relax” and focus on me and my health then (I hope) I will be blessed with a baby.

It doesn’t mean I am not constantly plagued by thoughts of my own children and that I don’t have dark days because I do. But I can’t be a mum at the moment, so the actions I am taking are the best ways for me that I can do something for my future child? If that makes any crazy sense?

My feeling Dr sis it was about consistency, keep taking Inofolic, keep exercising, keep eating the right things and get your body in to tip top condition and your mind will follow. She said it would help if I got every part of me in the best shape.

I hope it all works out for you lovely, you truly deserve this. X
