Hi all, after being diagnosed with pcos 1 year ago I am at the very beginning of my journey . I have been give acetate tablets to try and regualat my periods, did anyone suffer side affects from them? I am also waiting for my appointment to come for an x-ray of my uterus and fallopian tubes. What else could I possibly expect if they find something wrong with the xray?

Hello
I have been diagnosed with PCOS for 15 years and my main symptom is irregular periods. If I’m not on any medication I only really have 2 or 3 a year and as it now turns out don’t ovulate. I’m not familiar with acetate tablets I’m afraid does it have another name?
Are you trying to conceive?
The X-ray you’re referring to is it where they flush your womb and tubes with dye and take an X-ray? I’ve had that procedure it checks to make sure your tubes aren’t blocked and uterus looks normal. If you did have blocked tubes they would try and unblock them if possible. If you were trying to have a baby it would mean you could move to IVF or would start clomid or another medication that stimulates ovulation.
Hope this helps good luck!!
Xx
