Hey, it's hard isn't it! All of my symptoms have been getting worse (mostly excess hair on face and body but massive hair loss on head) 😭 starting a gluten and dairy free healthy eating kick from today. Hoping it works x x

Morning skwong

I start by good luck!

Hope you get results, it's all so confusing and maybes. 🤔

I have cut my portion sizes on the whole.

I did have hair growth on my belly, which has mysteriously gone and brown patches on my face?? I cut my eating long before I found out i had pcos.

I was fed up with piling on the weight, I have a very healthy appetite 😢

It's so frustrating, xx

Oh and not too much sugar. I have never (luckily) as it turns out! Drink fizzy drinks. Just tea! That's where the dairy will be a problem. Xx

Try nondairy coffee creamer like Coffee Mate. I never liked milk on either tea or coffee.

Hi pacificrebel

Never thought of trying anything like that before, thanks xx

Coffee creamer is pretty common where I'm from, but milk in tea isn't, so I guess that's even!

Hi pacificrebel

Have started to take my tea without milk and finding it ok.

Incidentally I just looked the sugar and carbohydrates in milk, it's quite a lot. I used to drink a fair bit of a day with tea. I can drink coffee without too.

Hi sorry just replying to my self new to this. I don't have too much sugar and luckily I don't drink fizzy drinks rather tea any day, that's where forgoing dairy would be a problem! Xx

Yeah I try to keep sugar to a minimum, no fizzy or squash just water, tea and coffee but am going to leave the tea and just have coffee with almond milk(I think it would be weird in tea) good luck to you on your mission too x x

Hi

I've also just started a gluten & dairy free diet. One week in and my skin has significantly cleared up, i've lost 1kg and the hair on my face is definitely better. But i still feel like i'm losing a lot of hair from my head - any tips welcome x

Hi Marie, great to hear you've got positive results so far, fingers crossed it continues improving for you. Have you found it difficult?

Hello Marie

That sounds really good. I haven't really tried doing that.

It may take a little while to see changes in your hair, apparently, as far as i can make out hair only has a certain life span, then it falls out. People with really long hair, theirs has a long life span. Mine hasn't so can't grow mine & I have cowlicks(prob cos of pcos) male pattern baldness?

So may be, hopefully you'll soon see your hair grow again.

Xx
