HSG Examination

Hi everyone

I had a HSG Examination today to check whether my tubes are blocked. My right side is blocked but left is perfect apparently. The nurse told me not to worry because the left the fine, however they did tell me to try and get an earlier follow up appointment which slightly worries me

I am only at the start of this journey and it is least overwhelming. Each time I've been for an appointment I end up getting emotional on the way home.

Are they going to unblock it?? Are you trying to conceive currently, it would increase your chances of conceiving if you had two tubes obviously in good working order.

The nurse said that it would be discussed at my follow up appointment but she said they might not unblock it as the left is fine; however like you said my chances would increase if they block it. So I'll have to wait to see what my consultant says. They aren't giving much away at the moment

I would push for it to be unblocked, we can have a tough time TTC so why make it more tricky - the nurse may have been wrong so perhaps they would anyway, I havent heard of it being left.

I've phoned the unit and they have given me a closer date, which is 2 months early. I'm feeling positive, as now I don't have to wait so long
