Hi,

Sorry you have to go through this..

I’ve diagnosed with PCOS too, my symptoms are hair area my nipple, oily face, mustache a bit and small acne.

Do you have any lower abdominal pain since the diagnosis?

I didn’t take any medication for PCOS

Yes I was on the pill for years and and it managed my symptoms but now we want to have a baby so I came off it and I’m on metformin but it does not really help me and yes I always have abdominal pain

Abdominal pain always meaning constant pain or during period only?

I had constant abdominal pain but my Dr said nothing to do with PCOS

Look at theanswertopcos diet as lots of ladies have found it helps their symptoms massively, I am on the combined pill so I did not notice any difference but its the only diet I managed to lose weight on and I have kept it off pretty much for 10 years.

My PCOS was very severe in my 30s, and I had surgery - ovarian drilling. Afterwards, my periods were regular for the first time ever, and I had no new hair growth. Had to have electrolysis to deal with the existing beard, but everything else settled - only thing that didn’t work, they said I had a 50-50 chance of losing weight naturally, and of course I was in the wrong 50. Stayed good over 20 years, and has just kicked in again at menopause, which I didn’t realise could happen - I was hoping it would all finish now...

Do your PCOS cause you lower abdominal pain?

Yes it does

I used to get stabs of pain into my left ovary, especially pre-period. Just started again now as my PCOS has kicked in again, tho I’m definitely past the menopause. Whereabouts is your pain?

Constant lower abdominal pain right side the most, hurt the most when sitting and laying down

I get it in the morning when I wake up lower abdominal pains

I’ve never had that from my PCOS, but I did get lower abdominal pain (bad enough to pass out a couple of times) and diarrhoea, which for me have always been diet related - in particular, gluten, instant coffee and non-organic lettuce - the last two I’m guessing are due to the chemicals used in processing/growing them, the first improved dramatically when I was diagnosed with coeliac disease and changed my diet accordingly. Sorry not to be more help.

Please speak to your doctor for more support.

Also I would recommend you read woman code.

It's a great read about over coming the symptoms that drag you down when having pcos.

There are so many changes that we can make as well.

What is your diet like?

What is your exercise routine?

How are your sleeping patterns?

Are your stressed? What causes you stress?

Do you heat food in plastic or store it in plastic?

I have cut out all Sugar, processed meats and I eat a really good diet now. I’m always tired and my stress levels are through the roof as I always have BPD and no I do not heat my food in plastic x

That's great to hear about all of your diet changes. They will take time to have an impact.

Have you had blood tests to check if you have any deficiency in anything?

I am anemic so take iron supplements and also deficient in vitamin d.

Also exercise helps to energise you just moderate exercise.

Hope you find some answers x

My dr has actually made me go and get my bloods done, I have got to go back and see her in a few weeks to see the results and where we can go from here

Mariaizzi, please don’t be so hard on yourself. I’m sure you are a gorgeous person inside and out and if you knew how much others think of you you would be amazed. Ask your Dr for Vaniqa cream, good for hair on the face, I’ve found it massively helpful. Take some vitamins, fish oils. Vitamin d3 and zinc and all the b vitamins. Take care of yourself and good luck x
