I had my HSG test on Friday and haven't had any bleeding since but when I had sex this morning there was loads of blood on the sheets. Anyone else experience this? Should I be worried?
I wasn't told anything about abstaining after just told I'd probably have some spotting for a few days so I'm a bit shocked!
Thank you xx

I dont think this is anything to worry about - I am not surprised you bled more after sex, potentially it was a little bit soon as that area is probably quite sensitive for up to a week I would have thought.
Thank you. The nurses implied i could straight away and as I didn't have any after the procedural thought it was odd especially as its still bleeding although yes I can see it might be a bit sore up there! Have a drs appointment tomorrow anyway so will mention it. Just super cautious of any unusual pain /bleeding as a good friend of mine has Cervical cancer at 28 years old, as well as our own fertility woes!
UPDATE: Still bleeding three days on now so saw my GP. He examined me and said my cervix looks normal, no erosion or obvious damage but has ordered some blood tests to rule out infection and written to the radiology department to ask if this is to be expected. He's a registrar so finishing his training to be a GP hence not as experienced in some ways but very thorough and kind - I don't know what I'll do when he leaves in a few months, he's my go-to guy haha. Also advised me not to have sex for a week after the bleeding stops (poor hubby!) and that it's unlikely to be hormonal or anything to worry about. Feeling relieved 😌
