I've started to get really bad facial hair and really don't know what to do at this point. I've already gotten laser and electrolysis to address the issue and nothing is working.
I've also in the past had really bad side effects to birth control pills, can anyone suggest something to get rid of my facial hair that is safe for long term usuage?

Electrolysis is the only permanent way to get rid of the hair but it is a long process. Laser (not IPL) can help if you are the right hair/skin tone but it takes around 15 sessions rather than the 6 they suggest and you need to maintain it for life as it is due to the hormone imbalance. Also ask the GP for vaniqa which is a cream that slows down the speed of the hair growing, it is expensive so is not often offered. SK:N clinic sell it in conjunction with laser
Ask your doctor about getting prescription for spirolactone. I found it worked long term for reducing hirsuitism but the underlying cause can also be argued to be about low rate of the 'mop' female hormone that mops up the male hormones. My endo specialist says I should lose weight, which will help increase mop, which will stem hirsuitism. Electrolysis and laser won't resolve hormonal drivers of hirsuitism
