What this woman did to her horses was awful but what's good is the RSPCA, they are an amazing charity.

Well done to the RSPCA
Hi Alicia, I am glad the RSPCA stepped in to help the horses. People can be so mean but I always have to remind myself that you would see lots of kind gestures in the world before you came across a horrible one.
So am I, animals are so lovely but for me horses are special, almost majestic (the Lloyds Bank advert shows that, I love that advert).
There certainly are plenty of good people doing good deeds.

I have to do a double-take when it comes to the RSPCA. Obviously they have the interests of animals at heart. But they clearly don't understand / accept the ethics of veganism. This means their attention is on non-meat animals. They have close ties to the meat industry with "RSPCA assured" nonsense. I worry about them being so closely tied that they rely on grants from the meat industry for their very existence and cannot see the wood for the trees, so to speak.
Yes they do have the interests of the animals and rescue a fair few but I understand what you are saying about the meat industry, the RSPCA are what I would call 'old school' i.e. they haven't changed but need to. I therefore take your point.
I have similar concerns about the soil association which seems to be funded by animal farming interests. So any advice it will give on the soil fertility must be taken with a pinch of salt.
Yes totally agree, I've had more concerns since becoming a Vegan.
