Hot Cross Buns

Hi everyone,

I really enjoy hot cross buns and Waitrose essential hot cross buns are accidentally vegan.

Does anyone know if any others are? I haven’t managed to find any in Sainsburys that don’t contain milk or egg or both.

😂 I used to help an elderly lady who didn’t like them toasted, so I would say, would you like a hot cross bun. She would reply, no I’ll have a cold happy bun please. 🤪

Thanks Alicia. That’s worth knowing. I was going to make some and bought some instead lol. Maybe I will still try and make my own. I think I could get the ones in your link at sainsburys if I don’t get round to making any. 👍😁

I feel yummy toasted hot cross buns with Naturli Vegan Butter, which you can also get in Sainsburys 😉

I used to love hot cross buns, untoasted aswell. It has to be said that your hot cross bun looks lovely and its great to see you can get Vegan ones, if only they could do one that was GF as well

I know, it’s not easy. Either milk or egg such a shame! Even in the GF ones.

The gluten free ones would probably taste 🤢 if the bread is anything to go by. I am sure Jerry makes some fantastic GF Hot Cross Buns 🙂
