Just thought Iโd post this for anyone who hasnโt seen it. As I think it would be very easy to pick up a drink like this and not even check the ingredients ๐คฎ
I've just read the article and how ridiculous putting beef collagen into fruit juice. They can add other 'natural' sources of vitamins and minerals that are actually plant based. All I can say is 'yuck', also they should label anything that is not vegetarian or vegan.
Glad you found some yummy hot cross buns though. Spread Naturli Vegan Butter on top - a winner๐
Unbelieveable ๐คข๐คข๐คข๐คข Thank you for pointing this out Ali, must admit I wouldn't have thought about checking a bottle of fruit juice for beef
Its funny you should mention this as I was taking with a friend and he said - have you tried the new GF vegan M&S nuggets, I said I hadn't (at the rather extortation price of ยฃ4.99 for a handful) and he said I can't understand why they are labelled as vegan when it clearly states on the box may contain milk and eggs
Erm. I suppose they say that in case there is cross contamination. As itโs all prepared in the same factory as something that may contain milk or eggs. Itโs all confusing. ๐คจ
Thats what I thought Ali , but really they should keep it seperate - after all they charge enough for it. We have to be so careful, I really appreciate you pointing this out, as I never would have beef would have been in fruit juice. It is confusing
No itโs horrible isnโt it. Especially with the rise of veganism, you would think they would think twice about putting beef in and limit8ng the amountto people that will buy it. The thought of it makes me feel sick.

Aside (related to reading ingredient labels ๐ท ):
Purchased 2 different/ separate โ 1-ingredient only jars of Almond Butter & Sesame Tahini.
Thought each was merely their ground up respective ingredients: almonds & sesame seeds.
Donโt think this assumption was entirely accurate? ๐ค๐ญ
Am pretty sure they ADD additional oil* ๐ฆ, which is likely not an issue for majority of us. Yet, if we need to be careful/ vigilant about ingesting low/ no oil, it can be an issue. ๐ฏ
.
A work around โ if too much oil is in your store-bought Almond Butter or Sesame Tahini:
Consider grinding your own almonds or sesame seeds (blender, food processor, auger juicer, โฆ) & mix in the ground nuts/ seeds to its respective oily, store-bought counterparts. This considerably cuts down the oil ๐ฆ (in a serving) & "stretches" the product considerably. By adding ground up almonds to 1 jar of almond butter, have gotten 2 jars of almond butter. (Ditto for sesame seed tahini.) ๐๐
[Aside, aside: Have tried making Almond Butter & Sesame Tahini from scratch ๐ฅฃ, but the result is an incredibly dry ๐๐ซ clump. ๐ฏ . . . [*Donโt know if the โaddedโ oil is from the source ingredient (almond oil, sesame oil) or if manufacturers are using a different (perhaps less costly/ cheaper) oil, such as a vegetable oil? ๐ค๐ญ . . . ๐คทโโ๏ธ ๐คฆโโ๏ธ . . . (Dunno. Havenโt a clue. Merely thinking/ speculating ๐ค ๐ญ aloud ๐ฃ๐ฌ .]
Hi Kai, thank you for this.....I bought a vitamix to make nut butter. I wouldnโt say itโs effortless but it did work. With an average blender itโs a race between getting your nut butter and the engine burning out! ๐คจ The longer you blend it the more of the natural oil is released.
When I didnโt have any tahini when I was making hummus I just threw in the sesame seeds with the chickpeas etc and it worked fine ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Excellent idea ๐ก!! Will add sesame seeds (โ,โ,โ,โ,) directly to chickpeas (o o o o) & blend ๐ that way (โ,oโ,oโ,oโ,) to create tasty ๐ hummus. ๐๐ . . . Love โฅ๏ธ it!
Yes, thinking standard blender/ food processor lacks โoomphโ ๐ช๐ช to do job. (Got a bit nervous ๐ฌ ๐ฏ when heard ๐ motor โstrainingโ {{โ๏ธ}} & smelled ๐ โelectric โก๏ธ burningโ odour. ๐ณ ๐คญ )
[Maybe Easter ๐ฐ (or ๐ ) will bestow Vitamix?! ๐ค๐ญ . . . ๐ . . . Hmm ๐ค . . . On 2nd thought ๐ญ , think you have to be โgoodโ ๐ผ to receive such gifts ๐ . I like your style ๐ lol. They are expensive but I think mine should last forever. It's great for nut milk too as you don't have to soak the nuts. The only problem is you can't do small amounts of anything as if you do the blade spins above whatever youre blending.
Good to know. ๐๐ . . . Very much appreciate the tips, Agoodenough/ Ali. ๐ ๐ . . . Will weave these โlogical ๐ง reasoningsโ [long-lived ๐ถ<โ>๐ง & powerful ๐ช๐ช device capable of making nut butters ๐ฅ as well as nut-milk ๐ฅ (sans soaking nuts ๐ฐ), handles large amounts ๐ข (not small) for "batch" preparations . . . ๐๐ ] into the justifications to be presented ๐ to "the holder of the purse strings ๐" (aka "the great decider โ๏ธ ", "the being who must be obeyed ๐ " . . . ) ๐ ๐ . . . ๐

Thats not good is it. You could spend half your life reading labels. No wonder they make the print so small. They donโt actually want you to know whatโs in it.
iv read that there is only one supermarket in scotland that does not sell GMO foods and thats waitrose. lots of other supermarkets may not have gmo in thier own brands but they will sell other brands of foods with GMO. We cant really trust anyone these days but i do my best to look after myself. Thats all we can really do, as im sure many other do to. There are a lot of people who dont even want to discuss these things. Most animals are fed GMO feed to, unless its organic. so all the ones who sell meat thats not organic sells gmo. im sure that goes for waitrose too. It gives meaning to hidden in plain site. I hope that your keeping well. love grace xoxo
Iโm very well thank you Grace111. Itโs terrible to think that everything we eat has been modified and fiddled around with. Nothing is quite what it seems and i suppose it all revolves around money at the end of the day.
I dont know if i believe its all around money as people are loosing thier business's everywhere. Its only the mega rich who are staying rich and dont need anymore money. The rothschilds and the bankers. I try not to think about all of it as i know what i know. Iv studied it and its all in the bible too. I just do my best for myself and others, when i can. look at all the robots doing jobs now too. i watched a film called solyent green. "They" are now talking about making a foodstuff thats all you need and has every vitamin in it. have you seen solyent green? its worth watching. love grace xoxo
