I made this porridge with hot water for a change and it worked out very well. I boiled the porridge in water with a small apple chopped up and then when cooked I poured over some cashew cream that I made with added vanilla bean paste. It was very quick as the water was straight from the kettle but it still had a lovely creamy taste. I sprinkled in a little cinnamon π₯£

Cashews are so versatile and satisfying. For extra smoothness they can be pre-soaked. The addition of vanilla is perfect.
