I've tried but already stumbled at the "How long did it take to get a diagnosis" question. There's no option that covers mine. I fell ill in 1994. I was finally correctly diagnosed in 1997.

And does the time just include the hospital's involvement in it? I was initially misdiagnosed with ME in 1994. I was referred on to a consultant in 1996, but even then I had to fight to overthrow the ME diagnosis, arguing for an MRI brain scan. I was finally diagnosed with cerebral vasculitis by that consultant in late 1997.

We have edited the question....it is difficult with the answers we are allowed. Hopefully the edited version will be able to include many more people with problems with diagnosis over a long period of time

Thanks. Cerebral vasculitis often takes years to be diagnosed. Going to have another go at the survey.
