Can anyone tell me if Dr David Jayne at Addenbrooke's Hospital is still open to seeing NHS Patients. My Hospital said they do not think he is seeing any new NHS Patients now. If he is not is him Team? My Consultant said they have sent a letter and me a copy, but I have received none.

Thank you.

Could you possibly post the result of your enquiry after clinic on Friday? I too will be really upset if he is not going to be there any more.

Hi Mitz, i had not heard this was the case. But if you are unsure and to put your mind at rest i would suggest you ring the clinic. They are always very helpful there and i am sure will not mind answering your query. That way at least you can report back to your own hospital re your referral. Let us know how you get on. Good luck

David is much in demand and it's not uncommon to be seen by one of the vasculitis 'team' even if you have an appointment with him, unless you're prepared to wait. Why not give Stella (who runs the clinic) or Sue (his secretary) a ring to clarify?

Healthy wishes.

My advioce is to phone David Jayne's Secretary who has always been very good at responding.

OR email her on Sue.Reid@addenbrookes.nhs.uk

Good Luck

Just out of interest, does Dr Jayne do the clinic on Friday as well as his Tuesday one? I'm going next Friday and really want to request to see him, but wasn't sure if he did the Friday clinics?

Dear Mitz,

In answer to your question...YES, just ask for a Referral! If you are unsure, and you have ME worried now, do Phone the Clinic. I have the Number, for the Renal Clinic, as 01223-217259 and the Switchboard as 01223-586613. If there, really is, a Problem can you let us know please? I suspect that this IS just a Mis-understanding- most of these 'things' are.
