Subscribers to the Vasculitis UK Health Unlocked site value it for the impartial, practical and unemotional postings, blogs and other content, with no religious element. We endeavour to ensure that any information or advice given on this site comes from reliable evidence based sources. Please try to ensure that any information that you put on this site fulfills these conditions. This certainly does not exclude postings of your own personal experiences of vasculitis, as this is one of the areas of greatest value on the site.

If anything you post on this site is opinion, or hearsay, or not evidence based, please indicate clearly that it is your opinon or your personal experience. This includes alternative therapies that cannot be substantiated. The admin team may remove any items that do not comply.

Sorry if this sounds to be narrow minded and dictatorial, but we do know that this reflects the sentiments of many users of this site and it is essential that we maintain confidence in the content of the site. There are several other vasculitis sites where you can freely express your personal beliefs, opinions and emotions.

Dear John,

I don't think that your stance sounds 'narrow minded' at all! I quite agree that the site, a very valuable resorce, should remain free from 'here say' and the like. If I make a comment, on a question,I always state that my answer is my personal opinion. Let's be fair unless we ourselves are doctors, or other experts in the field, then our answers will necessarily be our opinion. Ok, as people who have vasculitis or similar, we can speak with some authority; this may sound a little contrary I know, but then vasculitis IS contradictory anyway!!

Glad we have this 'site' operational.

Best wishes
