Hi, just wondering if anyone else has had anything similar.
I had a recall on my routine mammogram and had a follow up ultrasound and biopsies taken from the abnormality and armpit nodes.
Results have thankfully come back as benign and they have said that the enlarged nodes are very likely to be linked to the vasculitis.
As this is a change since last mammogram which was just before my diagnosis, should I let rheumatologist know or is this not necessary and this is just a normal thing that is seen with vasculitis? Many thanks 😊

Hello yes I had the same thing, so think it’s one of the rare side affects of Vasculitis I also had benign tumours at the back of my eyes and on my kidneys so nothing to worry about and yes just mention it to your consultant when you next see them, they will just confirm what you have already been told, just to put your mind at rest, hope the treatment goes well for you good luck 💕
I had a similar experience. Clean mammo in March, vasculitis started in July and by October had a very large lump. Biopsy was fine. Rheumatologist was not concerned, seems like a known symptom but I think it's another piece of information about how the disease presents for us so I would just inform your rheumatologist.
