Anyone had any problems. I have severe suppressed Immunity problems. Supported by general bloodtests and involement in Study to check effectiveness of Covid vaccines. Despite 3 previous vaccines I have little or zero protection. This may be totally unfounded but not convinced that earlier vaccines didn't lead to or promote serious illness attacks.

Seeking advice from Doctors, Nurses or Pharmacists is a waste of time- just get fobbed off. I don't know whether to risk Spikevax just offered or not. I am totally isolated and have been so for 3 years. If I caught Covid little hope. ( Very depressed with Isolation)

Anka Vasculitus, Asthma , COPD, Bronchiectosis, and many more health problems.

Anyone got any nasty experiences of Spikevax? ( it seems they are still collecting data)

Old H.

I believe Spikevax is Moderna rebranded. I had my first two vaccines when I wasn’t immune suppressed (Pfizer) and my vasculitis was already pretty bad so difficult for me to know whether they worsened it or whether I was already going downhill. I had my boosters when immune suppressed (also Pfizer) and had zero reaction and zero antibodies.

I personally find it difficult deciding whether to get a booster or not because my greatest exposure to covid would be physically going to the vaccine clinic because I don’t really do anything else. Given that they don’t seem to work on me it feels like unnecessary exposure, but I know the antibodies aren’t everything and it could still get to our T cells.

I don’t have anything helpful to say other than to let you know I also feel conflicted about going and getting vaxxed. Sorry to hear you’re feeling isolated. These are pretty awful times.

On the bright side there’s a university in Vienna who think they might be into a breakthrough with a sterilising immunity vaccine that also works on people with poor immune response to current vaccines. Sounds a bit too good to be true for us immune suppressed folk but would be great to know its safe to socialise with vaccinated people.

Thank you Grizzly Bear. i'm sorry you're having it rough also. I've only got a few days to decide. Do you know the name of that item they've found inVienna? It would be something to follow. Thanksfor your help. Best wishes. Old. Harry

Here’s a link to the vaccine that’s hopefully going into clinical trials soon from Vienna - bit if a way off but nice to have some hope! meduniwien.ac.at/web/en/ueb...

That’s an interest link Grizzly-bear but it would also be dependent on our government purchasing it. Something they have been reluctant to do with Evu-shield or any other meds to help protect the immune compromised. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know, I had such high hopes for my summer with the prospect of Evusheld. This government constantly disgusts me and shows such blatant disregard for life.

I think if a sterilising immunity vax became available I’d be renting a camper van and driving my family to Austria 🤣

I am currently classed as in remission from Vasculitis, having been wheeled into hospital 18 months ago. I have had 2 Pfizer and 2 Moderna. The Moderna had me on the sofa for a couple of days after which back to normal. So far I have not had Covid so not clear what my immunity level is.

I asked my consultant about antibody tests; he said they stopped doing them as they found people with high antibody levels still got hit with Covid which he suspected was down to lifestyle and environment. Basically antibody tests are a snap shot of your immunity.

My take on this I do everything I can to boost my immunity; all the vaccinations offered, avoiding large crowds, and eating a lot of fresh fruit, vegetables and fibre. I take cold showers and exercise daily. I also use a PowerBreathe device to improve my lung function. Like I said anything that might positively improve my immune response.

Good luck.

There's of certainty issues with the Lipid Nanoparticle carrier in the Spikevax.

All of the vaccines were created differently, however many of them had a very common ingredient/facilitator/problem - The Lipid Nanoparticle made from Sunflower Seed Oil/Lecithin/phospholipids.

Spikevax. Novavax. Pfizer. Moderna. All used the Lipid Nanoparticle. All have association with causing Myocarditis and Pericarditis and therefore all other lipid disorders associated are possibilities too.

sciencedirect.com/science/a...

Promoting mitochondrial biogenesis techniques as a way of life is helpful and a hard boycott of all seed oils and lecithin would definitely be beneficial.

I am currently in remission from vasculitis but still taking the immunosuppressant Azathioprine and pills for my heart which was affected following a protracted bout of illness - and no longer on steroids. I have recently had my 3rdcovid booster(moderna) and felt very stiff and achy for a day. Like you am not sure whether these vaccinations are making any difference. To try and advance new developments I have volunteered as a participant in a medical trial (PROTECT-V) organised by Cambridge University. This involves using a nasal spray twice a day - the intention being to develop a prophylatctic medication to be used by those on immunosuppressants. So far I have not developed covid despite being in close contact with my daughter and family who are currently ill with covid. I am hoping that this nasal spray might be a life saver for those for whom vaccinations are not so effective. The drug they are testing is niclosamide (normally used as an anti parastic drug but reformulated to use as a nasal spray) - apparaently it has been found to have anti viral properties. It is hoped that the drug will prevent COVID infected droplets taking hold in the sinuses and lungs. I heard about it in my local hospital who were recruiting patients with kidney failure and vasculitis type problems to take part in the trial.
