Booster Jab

Had my third Primary Jab on 15th October. Had the devil of a job actually getting it, but got it I did. In November, J Van T on a JCVI press briefing said...am sure he did... I could get Booster 3 months after 3rd Primary Jab . Given you can book after 60 days, tried to book online. I cant. Doctors cant/wont help . So have rang 119. First guy didn't get it at all and eventually told me I cant get booster till 6 months after 3rd Jab. Referred to printed text he had, asked for his manager, wouldn't put me through. He asked his manager who backed him up. Then checked Internet on NHS Site and it says 3 months, so phoned again. Next person got it more, she couldn't book Booster though, but I have made a complaint as there are people a lot worse then me, who simply wouldn't have the energy or desire to take this further and these/us/me are the people who need it the most .

As anyone had a Booster ?

How is everyone fairing on getting the Booster ?

Getting it this week. Impossible to book go as a walk in take your relevant letters and have a copy of JCVI available on your phone you should get it. Be kind to the staff! They have all worked v hard. If not successful contact your GP, or MP!

Thanks for reply and congrats on Booster :). There is always the option to just rock up at Drop in, just didn't want to turn up and given the mess it seems, to then be turned away. Have no issue with the vaccines centres or anyone else, just seems a big disconnect for the people who need the vaccines the most. GP is now on it, but they just dont seem to understand to be honest.

I have letter from my GP requesting a Booster. I sent him all the paperwork ie letter from NHS and Jcb1 recommending I have it at 3 months. That is the method recommended as the NHS hasn’t factored this into any of their computer record systems. Let’s hope it works.

I had my fourth vaccine today ( 3 months to the day of 3rd) at a walk-in clinic. My GP letter worked and I had half dose of Moderna so full house after 2x A-Z and a Pfizer . No I’ll effects yet.

I had my booster today - 91 days from my third dose. Went to a walk in GP led site and presented the original letter from my consultant and my vaccine cards. I was also told by 119 that they couldn’t book as not showing as needed one due to the computer system not being set up to account for 4th doses.

Thanks for post. There was an item on midday BBC news a few weeks ago. The system thinks because we have had four jabs, were done. Would have thought given these are the most vulnerable people it would have been sorted. There news item also talked of Doctors and Consultants leaving things to each other and that led to a lag on getting the third jab. My issue with 119 was they said it was a 6 month wait after third jab.
