I had to cancel an appointment with my rheumatologist due to another appointment at the same time. I just wanted to postpone it for a week or so. The next available app. Is February 2001! Is he going on a 6 month sabbatical ?.. I can’t believe he is fully booked for 6 months at 2 different hospitals.

I can - they will have booked all the follow-ups missed during lockdown and all the new referrals. And to be fair, even doctors have holidays due! Then if a bank holiday coincides with clinic day, those clinkcs are cancelled - and that happens twice over xmas and New Year...
