Dear Doghouse,

I use 'Insure With', absolutely Brilliant. You can even give, most of your Details' over the phone. Price wise, Very Competitive.... Especially for 'Pre-Existing'/ 'On Going' Conditions.

I have heard of Stay Sure, both 'Good' and 'Not So Good', reports. Why not try Both?

Whilst on the subject of Insurance, I renewed my Contents- due on the fifteenth- a few weeks ago. I did the 'Donkey Work' myself and found a VERY 'Comprehensive' Policy, through SAGA. Only £150 'Excess', Accidental Damage, Personal Property 'Away From Home' (UK only), Replacement Property 'New For old', if it can't be 'Fixed'..... and, unless I do make a Claim, Price Fixed for three years. All this for about £12 more than I was paying last year. (Higher Excess, no Accidental Damage, no property away from home....)

You CAN simply go One Line and 'Do' your Own Searches, I did... Yes it takes 'time', but are you in a hurry? Would it 'matter' if you were not Insured until next week (month)? Ok if you ARE 'going away', the day after tomorrow.....

You CAN go to a Broker, most of which are 'attached' to the Major Companies. Expect a LOT, of questions, a LOT of exclusions, a LOT of 'additional' requirements, probably Much higher 'Excess' charges..... only to discover that 'they' can't Insure you anyway. My 'Lovely' Broker, someone that I know from the Church, was 'So Sorry' that he couldn't Help Me. (He has More, or less, Retired now- following a long 'Period Of Ferlow'.)

Do, at least try, 'Insure With' Doghouse. Good Luck

I have used the Post Office before for travel insurance (skiing). I think they called GPA “Wegener’s”, when I added it as a pre existing condition - I noticed a few insurers do this.
