What to do (although I think I know what to do)!

I have Tak (all be it in drug remission) and am on the dreaded but wonderful Methotrexate. I am overdue my monthly blood test but have one booked with the nurse at my GP tomorrow. Do I go?

I am currently in Norfolk but I my GP is in London. Although the Rheumy advice says you only need Mtx tests every 3 months, I have had some borderline results lately resulting in a reduction of Mtx, so preferable to have test and also if I don’t have it tomorrow who knows when I’ll be able to get another one!

Not asking for Med advice - just what would you do?

Stay safe everyone 😘

I would go to have the blood taken. If you become ill because of the mtx you are putting youself at even more risk.

Hi

Yep I’m going to go - nurse has moved my spot to an earlier time - I will go masked and gloved ( although don’t know if that will make a difference). You can’t get into surgery without staff unlocking door and I’ll wait outside until nurse comes and gets me. I just don’t know when I’ll get another test!

Thanks for your input and stay safe.
