It has been a long tough road but as of This week. I AM IN REMISSION. ππ.
I was diagnosed April 2017 with GPA, I spent 6 weeks in a French hospital in intensive care, 2 weeks of that I was in a coma. Since returning to the UK I have had 2 relapses and a number of issues relating to the disease but as of Monday , my rheumatologist has said that my condition has settled and is stable and is happy to now confirm that I am in remission. What a buzz . For everyone still waiting to get to this stage, enjoy it when it happens because it feels so good

Please share with us what you have done so far to be in remission. Or has it just calm down on its own? Does this happen? I so rarely hear of remission.
Wonderful to know. Hope you enjoy life to the full.
I have followed the guidance from my specialists. I am very lucky as I see a rheumatologist, renal consultant, respiratory consultant and an ent consultant every 6 months. I get my blood checked monthly without fail and more frequently if I start to become symptomatic. Follow the advice given re food restrictions and stay away from people with colds/infections
