On Wednesday of this week John and myself, spent the day with around 100 doctors on a Vasculitis, renal and respiratory training day at Imperial College London. It’s the first training day of this type to be held in London. The very first training day was held in Manchester back in May. ( see previous post ) .
The medical speakers were all leaders in their field. Topics included ANCA Associated Vasculitis diagnosis and treatments for MPA and GPA, all aspects of EGPA, Anti GBM Goodpastures, Respiratory complications of GPA including ANCA negative GPA and the Role of steroids in treating Vasculitis.
The finale of the day were accounts from both Jayne who has GPA and Emma who has EGPA, of their personal experiences/stories. Both Jayne and Emma were amazing and were thanked by the doctors who organised the training day for being there...
There will be a feedback report in the next Vasculitis UK newsletter in the Autumn.
