Donating your body to medical science

Hi folks, I discussed this topic some 6 months ago on here.

The thread still exists and created some interest. Im sorry I havnt got back to any of you following that discussion but I did speak to my consultant who subsequently wrote to me with how to proceed with this. If anyone is interested, first look at the human tissue authority website, HTA.gov.uk

This website has everything you need to know. I have downloaded their booklet on body donation and emailed it to myself, so if anybody wants me to forward it, please message me with your email address.

As for specifying vasculitis research, in the first instance, it would probably be advisable to speak to someone at a medical school registered in your area. Theres a search area on the website to find the nearest one to you. I havnt spoken to anyone yet so Im unsure if I could ask them to use my body solely for vasculitis research but I will ask of course, but I dont think its thats simple lol.
